Meet Carly

Hi! I'm Carly! I'm a Jesus follower, wife, dog mom, Registered Dietitian and Certified Eating Disorder Specialist. I started my nutrition career in sports nutrition and while spending time in that "world" I was able to learn about eating disorders. I then transitioned into the eating disorder field by accepting a position as a dietitian at a Partial Hospitalization/Intensive Outpatient Program where I was able to apply the nutrition science I had learned counseling athletes to help individuals with eating disorders overcome their fears. I worked in a higher level of care for several years before transitioning to the Outpatient level of care.
My Nutrition Philosophy
I have a passion for lifelong health by nourishing the body and engaging in joyful movement. I use a weight-inclusive approach, an all foods fit food philosophy and embrace intuitive eating principles to help my clients heal their relationship with all foods. I have a passion for nutrition science and believe in the power of science to help combat eating disorder thoughts. I support my clients on their recovery journey by providing individualized meal plans, conducting exposure sessions, providing nutrition education and exploring relationships with movement. I have spent my career walking alongside those with eating disorders and helping them build a recovery lifestyle.
Faith in Practice
My faith has been a cornerstone in my life. My faith shows up in two ways in my practice.
First, I have structured my practice to truly be a ministry. I know eating disorders don't discriminate and that marginalized individuals are impacted by eating disorders. In partnership with Project HEAL, I offer discounted services to those demonstrating financial need.
Second, I offer faith-based nutrition counseling for those interested in exploring their faith in their eating disorder recovery journey.
"For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty and you gave me something to drink."
In Summary
I believe full recovery is possible. I use my nutrition knowledge and faith to inform my nutrition practices to help my clients recover from their eating disorder. If you feel that I may be able to help you on your recovery journey, please don't hesitate to contact me.
